Exciting Things Are Happening

Between yesterday and today I have been overwhelmed with excitement! Yesterday was maybe one of the best days ever, first off it was flag day which as an American is really cool, I know most may not even know or recognize the day but me having been with a "foreigner" for so long has learned to really, Really, REALLY appreciate all that we have here in the States. Second, Baz, the boyfriend, after living in the United States for over 10 years officially became an American Citizen!! I went to his oath ceremony and it was truly a great experience, one I wish everyone could get the chance to enjoy. Third, it was my moms birthday!! (She is 29 again, I wont tell you how many times she has turned 29 for her sake)

Below is the OFFICIAL picture... Baz, I am so proud of you!

And here is a picture of My mom, Baz's mom, Baz and me. Baz's mom still lives in The Gambia which is where Baz was born and she just so happened to be here on a visitors visa during all of this (It's her first time in the States ever!) I thought it was so great that she could be here for this event.

And today is my mom and dads anniversary! They have officially survived 43 years together ;) Congrats mom & dad!

Generations Mini Album

I had the challenge of using these EK rub-on #'s, which to be honest I didn't think I was going to be able to do! But I believe I may have survived the challenge, I kinda think they are really cute now too.
I decided to do a mini album and have it themed in generations, I'm pretty excited to start going through photos for this album especially considering my sister and I have been researching our family tree recently. Below is a photo of my project:

Album used: Maya Roads
Paper: BoBunny Timepiece
Also used: Ek # stickers & Little Yellow Bicycle Journal transparency

Operation We R Grateful

We R Memory Keepers is holding an awesome contest, Operation We R Grateful. In this contest you create cards that will be sent to our troops, like you would do with Operation Write Home. You complete your home made cards, send them in to We R Memory Keepers and not only are you giving a wonderful gift but you have a chance at winning some wonderful prizes from We R. They will be giving away 80 prizes total-wow!

Operation We R Grateful begins today and continues through July 6th, 2011. For all the detailed information on what type of cards are needed, where to send them and what you could win click here. Our Troops work so hard every day to keep us protected and safe, sending some cards for them is the least we could do. Lets show them some love, I'm springing into action and pumping out some cards this weekend, I hope you do too ;)

Its Friiiiiiday!

Ok, so Friday isn't always THAT amazing for me in the sense that I do have to work Saturday's and recently most Sundays. It's the perks of having 2 jobs ;). A 9-5 so I can pay my bills (yuck, dirty little b-word!) and then the fun job at Pizazz It! Scrapbooks so I can get my scrapbooking fix in. I promise I really don't complain about working weekends.

But I do LOVE Fridays because it seems that there is always somebody doing a Giveaway Friday in the scrapbook world!! Gotta love this social boom of facebook/twitter/blogs. Anyway, here are a couple I have entered into today.

*Scrapbook Trends Giveaway: Pink Paislee & House of Three Soiree Line, and Tattered Angels Product. To enter click here and leave a comment below their post.

*Jillibean Soup Giveaway: All you have to do is go to their website today, sign up for their newsletters and you are entered to win the lovely Watermelon Gazpacho pack. It really is a delicious line!!

I am not always the luckiest person when it comes to contests/entering to win type of deals but I did just win the Echo Park Playground Line (a really, Really, REALLY cool summer line) a month ago and now I figure it really does pay off to try, cant win it if you don't try it!
